Alyce-Ann's December has been a busy one, as I'm sure it has been for everyone. She finished her 3rd semester at TCU's early childhood music class. Each semester ends with a big family music night in the ballroom on campus. A swing band plays the music we've been singing all semester, and everyone (about 300 parents, toddlers, and grandparents) dances, sings, and plays (or tastes) instruments. It's great fun! Visiting our neighborhood santa was quite different than last year. Alyce-Ann was a bit spooked by the bearded man, and her magnetic pull to my body increased as I walked closer to him. At one point, I could have completely let go of holding her and she would have clung on to me herself. She never cried, but was certainly not going anywhere near santa. You can see by the picture how close I was able to stand to him and not lose circulation in my legs! She had an abundant Christmas with lots of great toys, books, and clothes, and she especially enjoyed ripping into her packages or helping other rip into theirs!
