Attempts at a big girl bed

Since we just moved into our new house, we thought it might be time to transition Alyce-Ann from her crib into her toddler bed. So, Matt and I converted her crib and thought for sure that the side rails and footboard could be stored for good. Well, as you can see from this picture, the new-found freedom was great fun. She jumped out of, and into, and on top of that bed and ran back and forth into our room a million times, giggling and squealing the entire time until about 11:30 p.m. At that point, we were exhausted! She finally gave up and went to sleep. Guess what our first project of the day was in the morning? Reassembling the crib! We'll think about the toddler bed again when she's 15 or so!
