Argentina Part 4

One of our more surreal stops in the province of Jujuy was Tilcara. Alyce-Ann and I are sitting on the edge of an outlook that supports perfectly rebuilt ruins from the Inca era. Great vantage point!

Back at Laura's mom's (Jaquie's) campo, this is Nati, a gorgeous chocolate lab that would have come home with us if we could fit her in our luggage. Alyce-Ann quickly got over any hesitations she had about being around 5 dogs. For that matter, she wasn't scared one bit of Jaquie's horses, roosters, or chickens and made it her duty to check on them each day.

We were treated to a beautiful snowfall-- the largest seen in this region in decades. Alyce-Ann loved trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue, but hated wearing mittens!

And of course, snow ice cream was on the menu. Alyce-Ann LOVED this whole process, and Jaquie acted as head chef!

After another overnight bus ride, we were back in B.A. for Laura's niece's 2nd birthday party where Alyce-Ann had her first experience with a pinata! Once she discovered what all of the stuff was that was falling from above and why all of the kids were pouncing on each other, she quickly joined in the fun. Included in the all-day party was the most delicious BBQ! The quality of meat in Argentina is so high that the only seasoning needed is a bit of salt. Our vacation was fantastic, and there is so much more we want to see!
