Lifeway bookstore hosted Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber last weekend, and all morning long on Saturday, that's all Alyce-Ann could talk about. "I want to see Bob the 'Mato!" she shouted all the way through Home Depot-- our quick stop on the way. As soon as we walked into Lifeway, she bolted to the back of the store where the giant vegetables stood. Then she absolutely halted! Matt modeled the appropriate tomato-shaking greeting-- she wanted no part. Matt stood between Bob and Larry to demonstrate their harmlessness-- she hid behind Bob. Finally, after about 30 minutes, she cautiously shook Bob's hand and posed for a group photo. Any guess what the theme song was on the way home? "I want to see Bob the 'Mato!"
